If you can dream it, we can plan it.

Do I need a new passport or need to renew an existing passport?
When traveling abroad, be sure you have at least six months left until your passport expires when you leave the country. This is a requirement. Passports are issued by the U.S. Department of State.  See requirements at this link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply.html
Is it safe to travel in a world with COVID-19?

Let’s be honest…living comes with risks, but we need to be smart about the risks we take.  All areas of the travel industry feel the same way.  Travel partners are taking the pandemic very seriously and are updating their already rigorous cleaning procedures to ensure everyone’s safety.  Social distancing is also being observed.  These vary by supplier and are being updated as more is learned about COVID-19. If you have specific questions, email me at info@sunburstcruises.com

Why do I need a travel advisor?

A travel advisor can help you plan your vacation from start to finish with much less hassle and worry for you!  Let someone else worry about whether a visa requirements, alternate plans if a vacation gets cancelled or a flight gets missed.  Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, a travel advisor deals with cancellations, refunds, and spends the hours on the phone so you don’t have to. Our job is to be YOUR advocate.

Do you charge for your service?

In some cases, yes.  There are no fees if you wish to go on one of our group trips that you see on the site.  If it is a complicated trip that you wish to do on your own, we will charge a planning fee.

Are TSA Precheck and Global Entry the same thing?

No, they are different.  However, you do get TSA Precheck when you enroll in Global Entry.  Global Entry allows you entry back into the USA through shorter lines usually using kiosks when going through customs.  TSA Precheck allows for faster screening at TSA checkpoints within the USA.  To learn more or apply for TSA Precheck, use this link: https://www.tsa.gov/precheck.  To learn more or apply for Global Entry, use this link: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry#.html

Do I really need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend the purchase travel insurance for your protection – both if need to cancel your trip or you need medical care while aborad.  Be sure to discuss your needs with us.  Some companies exclude pre-exisiting conditions, some don’t.  Some allow you to cancel for ANY reason, some only allow for cancellation due to certain criteria.  It is your responsibility to read and understand the policy before you purchase it.  Please note that almost all US based insurance policies do not cover medical expenses in foreign countries.
